Senior Big Data Engineer (Hadoop/Spark)
Job description
Working as a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will:
- Support the design and planning of new builds and migrations of selected areas, components, applications, data, and users.
- Assist in preparing and executing the evaluation and creation of Hadoop clusters.
- Help with data and user migration processes.
- Participate in compiling and building open-source Hadoop components.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance plans and business continuity strategies, especially in:
- Troubleshooting Hive and Spark issues,
- Managing Kerberos functionality within the cluster,
- Addressing Java-related errors.
- Ensure Kerberos-based security is maintained.

Qualifications:
- Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Hadoop.
- Demonstrate expertise in Cloudera Hadoop and Apache Hadoop (open-source).
- Possess strong knowledge of Hive, Impala, Airflow/Oozie.
- Excellent English skills
