Data Engineer
Job description
Working as a Data Engineer, you will:
- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other Azure Data Services
- Manage and integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and consistency
- Leverage Azure tools such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks to support data transformation and analysis
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulations like GDPR through encryption, access control, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data solutions that meet business needs
- Create and optimize database structures, queries, and stored procedures using advanced SQL/T-SQL skills
- Develop insightful data visualizations and interactive dashboards using Power BI to enable business decision-making
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets, using statistical methods to derive actionable insights
- (Optional) Build, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning services

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in the Azure data ecosystem, including Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure SQL Database
- Experience with data orchestration and workflow management using Azure Data Factory
- Strong skills in SQL/T-SQL for designing and optimizing database queries and structures
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI for visualization, data connectivity, and Power Query transformation
- Knowledge of Azure security practices, including data encryption and access control
- Solid foundation in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools is a plus
